OFFICIAL RULES

CELEBRATION DESCRIPTION: The 2025-2026 HHSA (City) High School Basketball Students of the Year Night with the (name of team) is celebratory night that provides boys and girls high school basketball players that exceeded expectations in the classroom this 2025-2026 Season a chance to be celebrate and be recognized for their classroom achievements publicly by peers, family, fans and supporters. 

SPONSORED TICKET(S) REQUEST:

For those High School Basketball Students of the Year that would like to celebrate at the (name of team) game vs. (opponent), but are unable to pay for tickets, HHSA donors and supporters will sponsor tickets. In order to be eligible to receive sponsored tickets, players must complete the “Sponsored Ticket Nomination Form” with the information requested. Nominators must submit a short video on their social platform of choice (less than 60 seconds) describing why they should receive the sponsored ticket to celebrate their achievements in the classroom this year.

ELIGIBILITY: 

Sponsored NBA Ticket Nominators must be legal U.S. residents who were active and on a varsity basketball team roster during the 2025-26 season and have shown to exceeded their expectations in the classroom. By participating in the event, each participant unconditionally accepts and agrees to comply and abide by these Official Rules and the decisions of Hire High School Athletes, Nonprofit Organization and its Board of Directors, which shall be final and binding in all respects. 

HOW TO SUBMIT FOR A SPONSORED NBA TICKET 

Nominators or athletes themselves may go to www.hirehighschoolathletes.org (the “Website”), and complete the Sponsored NBA Ticket Nomination Form with the information requested.

WINNER SELECTION:

When applications are received, representatives of program will review the eligible Nominations and will select the potential winners based on the following: (1) Nominators ability to persuade the selection committee, social audience and fans with their 60 second video. (2) Nominators ability to respond within forty-eight (48) hours of the first notification attempt. 

PUBLICITY RELEASE:

Each athlete participating in the event (both sponsored and non-sponsored ticket holders), in addition to any other grants which may be granted in any other agreement entered into between both parties from this point forward, irrevocably grants HHSA and it’s event partners, designees, and successors, assigns the right to use each athletes name, his/her school name, likeness, and biographical information, in any and all media for any purpose, including without limitation, advertising and promotional purposes, the Event or other promotions, and hereby releases HHSA, from any liability with respect thereto. 

PRIZES AND RETAIL VLUES 

Nominees (and their parent/legal guardians in the case of minor Nominees) are solely responsible for complying with NCAA rules and regulations in connection with acceptance of sponsored tickets and prizes. 

GOVERNING LAW: ALL ISSUES AND QUESTIONS CONCERNING THE CONSTRUCTION, VALIDITY, INTERPRETATION AND ENFORCEABILITY OF THESE OFFICIAL RULES OR THE RIGHTS AND OBLIGATIONS OF NOMINATORS, NOMINEES OR SPONSOR IN CONNECTION WITH THE CONTEST SHALL BE GOVERNED BY AND CONSTRUED IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE INTERNAL LAWS OF THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA WITHOUT GIVING EFFECT TO ANY CHOICE OF LAW OR CONFLICT OF LAW RULES OR PROVISIONS THAT WOULD CAUSE THE APPLICATION OF ANY OTHER STATE’S LAWS.
